WHAT IS AN
APPRENTICESHIP?
Why Should I Pursue It?
Apprenticeship is the first step in a career in the electrical trades. It also gives you the opportunity to continue your career trajectory at Gaylor Electric. Feel free to check out our Career Pathways tool to better understand how your career could develop at Gaylor Electric.
Our apprenticeship is a four year program combining on-the-job training (full-time employment) with evening classes to advance your knowledge of the electrical trade. Our training partner, ABC, offers weekly evening classes (most in-person, some virtual options, Spanish offerings) that pair with your Gaylor Electric employment to culminate in the acquisition of a Journeyperson’s Certification. This occurs upon graduation of your four years of academic training through ABC, and the accrual of 8000 on-the-job training hours.
